Steven R. Jolly to Speak at Desoto Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

The principal and founder of SRJ Marketing Communications ( is slated to speak on Friday at the Desoto Chamber of Commerce. The engagement kicks off a new brown bag series at the college, “Advertising to Grow your Own Business.”

The speaker, Steven R. Jolly, is an award winning professional with over 25 years of experience in advertising, public relations and marketing.

“My philosophy is that marketing is the sum total of all impressions,” says Jolly, who drives the strategic plans he creates for clients. “Marketing must be concerned with developing relationships, improving customer service, integrating the organization into its community, managing special events, designing top-notch collateral materials that bear a consistent message, and developing a consistent media relations program.”

Over his career, Steve has worked with a full range of businesses—from solo professionals to small retailers to fortune 100 powerhouses. He has developed strategic plans, written marketing and public relations programs, implemented special events and launched plenty of branding campaigns for young companies.

Steve moved to Texas in 1980 with a degree in Communications from Washington State University. Before starting his company in 1989, he served as executive vice president and general manager for a full-service advertising agency. During his tenure there, Steve operated offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Amarillo, supervised a staff of 27 and managed a $2.5 million dollar budget.
