Steven R. Jolly to Speak at Annual TORCH Conference
When the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals (TORCH) meets in Dallas in April 2005 for their 15th anniversary celebration, it will include the country’s foremost expert on marketing for small and rural hospitals. Steven R. Jolly, SRJ Marketing Communication’s Principal and Founder, will share his years of experience in the field with administrators and managers of small and rural hospitals from across the Southwest. Jolly, who founded SRJ Marketing Communications in 1989, has over 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations.
Building his marketing strategies around placing the patient first, Jolly will share information about today’s consumer and the most effective ways of reaching that market. He will emphasize the concept that marketing begins on the inside with well-trained health-care workers who understand the importance of good customer relations. Through the experience gained over hundreds of hours spent in hospitals presenting guest relations training sessions, Jolly brings insights from dealing with front-line people.
Jolly will also focus on the cutting edge of technology—customized Web sites. “There’s no reason for the healthcare industry to get behind other businesses in taking advantage of the Internet,” he said. “This is an area where a hospital can provide valuable information to patients while promoting their own services.” Jolly will show how an Internet presence can work as part of a complete marketing strategy.
