SRJ Chosen for Health Workforce Diversity Web Site

A new, dynamic Web site produced by SRJ Marketing Communications (www.srj.net) does everything the East Texas Area Health Education Centers wanted – and that was a healthy list of requirements.

Besides promoting its Diversity Conference Series for its health Workforce Diversity initiative, the new site fills a multitude of additional support roles, including:

  • Easily accessible online conference registration
  • The ability to submit white papers, exhibits and sponsorship
  • Acts as a resource to support ongoing post-conference dialogue

The site can be found at www.hwdc.org.

The conferences, held across the state, are a key component in the organization’s quest to help meet the health care needs of people living in areas where there may not be enough physicians, nurses or other health care professionals. East Texas AHEC links communities with health science schools with the goal of ultimately improving the health workforce of East Texas.

“The site we developed also is a depository for conference presentations and presentation materials,” said Steven R. Jolly, agency principal. “Our client’s site was produced from scratch to be a turnkey apparatus supporting their conference series—the group’s single most important activity. The Web site in effect becomes the lasting effects of the conferences.”

The East Texas Area Health Education Center is based at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. AHECs work to improve the health of its communities by developing a quality diverse health workforce and helping address unmet health needs. Their conferences facilitate meeting those needs.
