Highland Park United Methodist Church Hires SRJ to Create New Materials

SRJ Marketing Communications, LLC has been brought in to create materials for Highland Park United Methodist Church, one of the country’s largest churches, located in Dallas’ tony Highland Park neighborhood.

“We were honored to be selected to create new materials for the church,” says SRJ principal Steve Jolly. “Due to circumstances, materials in the past have been created that don’t establish consistency in the message or look of the church. Highland Park United Methodist Church has recognized the value of establishing what we in the marketing world call a brand.”

SRJ’s first project for the church is to create a stewardship brochure for the church’s upcoming commitment drive. The campaign consists of two mailings. SRJ is charged with developing a theme and look, and then executing the production of the mailings – one large brochure that explains the church’s many benevolences and the value of giving, and then the smaller pledge card that will be used for committing financially for the year.

The church also has asked SRJ to create a new cover for their hymnals placed in the smaller Cox Chapel where additional services are held. SRJ will create new art for the cover, establishing a look that sets the smaller chapel apart from the main sanctuary and the services held there.

“It is a very progressive move for the church to recognize the value of branding,” explains Jolly. “In speaking to any audience, it is important to have that consistency in order for the reader to quickly identify the source and message. The materials that the SRJ team is creating for Highland Park United Methodist Church will be an important step in that process.”
