Highland Park United Methodist Church Turns to SRJ for Branding Overhaul
Dallas-based SRJ Marketing Communications has been tapped to revamp one of the largest Methodist churches in the country with a new branding campaign that will include enhanced collateral material and improved graphic standards.
SRJ Marketing Communications, a full service-advertising, public relations and marketing agency, will combine strategy with creativity to hone the position of Highland Park United Methodist Church (HPUMC) in the community and spur future growth. Steven R. Jolly, the agency’s founder and principal, noted that he is a firm believer in making sure that all communication materials maintain a strong degree of harmony.
“A hallmark of branding is consistency,” says Jolly. “Whether it be advertisements, direct mail, Web sites or brochures, it’s important that messages are distinctive and tie directly to the marketing strategy.
“Even churches must brand themselves and be consistent,” he continues. “We live in an age of targeted media and multiple channels from which potential churchgoers gather their information.”
The agency is no stranger to HPUMC. The church worked with SRJ in 2004 to improve the look of their Operational Budget Campaign materials. The brochure, cards and mailings created by SRJ Marketing Communications led to significant increases over the previous year in giving.
The agency’s team will set out to create materials that clearly convey the works of the church in a crisp, elegant style. Jolly says the branding campaign will reflect the church’s uniqueness.
“SRJ wants to make sure that the church’s good work is conveyed in a way that will resonate with future members of its congregation,” explains Jolly. “Our goal will be to create stately pieces that underscore its greatness. We want Highland Park United Methodist Church to be a clearly identifiable brand in the minds of Texans.”
